Where Are My Celsius Promo Code Rewards?

There are multiple ways to see your claimed and upcoming Promo Code awards. We’ll outline them in this article.

We get asked this question often: Where can I view my promo code rewards? Well, it depends on whether you are using the new desktop app or the mobile app. They were designed and developed at different times, and therefore, each platform displays the promo codes in different ways. We’ll explore all the options that allow you to see your Celsius promo codes, so stay tuned!

What are Promo Codes & What Do They Do?

Firstly, the main objective or promo codes is for Celsius to increase their Assets Under Management, also known as AUM. As most promo codes require a new or existing user to deposit assets for a specific amount of time, the deposits add to the Celsius AUM. This allows Celsius to lend more assets to high net worth individuals and corporations, which in turn allows them to generate more yield. And up to 80% of all revenue goes back to the community in the form of reward interest. It’s a win-win situation.

Secondly, not only do new and existing users earn reward interest on their new crypto deposits (required for Promo Code activation), but they also get a ‘bonus’ promo code reward by depositing and holding their funds within their Celsius wallet. The Celsius promo code award can be between $50 to $1,000 USD worth of crypto assets, which is substantial!

Please note: promo codes need to be manually entered in your mobile app. You cannot add promo codes through your desktop app as it is not currently setup.

Where Can I Find My Promo Code Rewards?

Many users get confused as to where they can see their promo code status. After entering promo codes via the mobile app, Celsius users can find the statuses and transactions on both the desktop and mobile apps.

Celsius Promo Code Rewards on Desktop App

Promo Codes on the desktop app are called ‘Promo Code Rewards‘. There are 3 statuses: ‘Locked’, ‘Received’ and ‘Canceled’. The ‘Pending‘ status does not show up on the desktop app.

There are essentially 3 ways to see your locked, received or cancelled promo codes:

  1. View all transactions (however, you will need to sift through every single transaction including all reward interest, deposits and withdrawals)
  2. View specific-asset wallet transactions (but remember that different promo codes pay out rewards in different asset types, so you’ll need to view multiple wallets to get the full picture)
  3. Use the ‘Filter’ feature (not ‘Search’ feature)

The simplest way, by far, is to use the ‘Filter‘ feature on the desktop app. A quick ‘status’ explanation is as follows:

  1. Locked: after the required funds have been deposited, the promo code status changes from ‘Pending’ to ‘Locked’. You must keep them in your wallet for a specific amount of time (usually 30 days). This is called the ‘lock period’.
  2. Received: once the lock period is over and all terms & conditions are met, the promo code status changes from ‘Locked’ to ‘Received’. This means that all rewards have been deposited in your wallet.
  3. Canceled: if any terms or conditions are broken (including failure to deposit in time, failure to deposit correct minimum amount, withdrawals etc), then the promo code status will change from ‘Pending’ -or- ‘Locked’ to ‘Canceled’ or ‘Cancelled’.

*Please note that the desktop app DOES NOT show ‘Pending‘ promo codes. A ‘pending’ one is a Celsius promo code that has been successfully entered via the mobile app (valid for user and jurisdiction), but the required funds have not been deposited. If the deposits are not added within the specified timeframe, then the promo code will change to ‘canceled’.

Celsius Promo Code Awards on Mobile App

There are 2 places that you can view the status of your promo codes on the mobile app. The first is through the ‘Profile’ section and the second is in your transactions history.

1 | Viewing Promo Codes through the Profile Section

Promo Codes in the mobile app Profile section are called ‘Promo Codes‘. There are 4 statuses: ‘Pending’, ‘Locked’, ‘Received’ and ‘Canceled’. Unlike the desktop app, ‘Pending‘ status does show in the mobile app Profile section.

Here’s a brief description of each status:

  1. Pending: successfully entered promo code but required funds have not yet been deposited.
  2. Locked: required funds have been deposited but lock period is not over.
  3. Claimed: all terms and conditions have been met and Celsius promo code rewards have been distributed to your wallet.
  4. Canceled: terms & conditions have been violated and therefore, the promo code is cancelled.
2 | Seeing your Promo Codes through Transaction History

Promo Codes in the mobile app Transaction History are called ‘Promo Codes‘ and are depicted as ‘PC’ over a circle. There are 3 statuses: Orange Circle depicts ‘Locked’, Green Circle depicts ‘Confirmed’ and Red Circle depicts ‘Cancelled’. The ‘Pending‘ status does not show up in the mobile app Transaction History.

Here’s another brief description of each status:

  1. Locked: required funds have been deposited but lock period is not over.
  2. Confirmed: all terms and conditions have been met and Celsius promo code rewards have been distributed to your wallet.
  3. Canceled: terms & conditions have been violated and therefore, the promo code is cancelled.
